International Society for Environmental Epidemiology – North American Chapter Conference 2023

Dear friends, colleagues, and ISEE NAC Community,

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the first-ever International Society for Environmental Epidemiology North American Chapter (ISEE NAC 2023) Regional Conference will take place on June 19-21, 2023 as a fully in-person event, hosted at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon.

Recognizing critical areas of research and growth for ISEE NAC, the conference’s theme is “Environmental Justice and Climate Connections.” The topic highlights two of the most pressing issues for our chapter.

We invite you to be a part of this meeting in person, which will emphasize early-career researchers (students and those < 5 years from their terminal degree). Early-career scientists will deliver most of the oral presentations and make up nearly all keynote speakers. Our scientific committee (more than half of whom are also early-career researchers) continues to innovate, and the meeting will feature additional unique presentation types and different opportunities to engage with one another.

In addition, we are working with Oregon State to make the conference as green as possible, while still making it accessible to all. We aim for the conference to promote the ISEE NAC mission to promote and strengthen scientific research in environmental epidemiology, facilitate networking among our members, highlight the exciting work of our junior members, and emphasize policy and community engagement research.
